This is my first 'Currently'! Hoping I get all the rules right! :-))

Music is soothing to my soul and keeps me grounded in the midst of so much to do and do and do....

Way too much time on this one!  I made a poster-paper chart for the classroom with ALL the things I could think of that I still need/want to get done....34 days and counting!

11 years ago I asked a parent to make me a backdrop 'red brick wall'.  It's been used for so many events throughout our years...and love it, and it is still standing strong. This year as I was rethinking name, I kept coming back to the 'red brick', from there, I chose the 'redbrickroadteaceher'.

  1. I think your name is great - it sounds strong and purposeful - a road leading to learning :) It's lovely to meet you through the Currently linky - hopefully you'll pay me a visit too. I'm also taking part in the A to Z Challenge so you'll have to scroll down a bit to get to the Currently part of my post. Hopefully, you'll find my freebie helpful for some of your first graders! 2. I'm with you on the TPT plan. I've been so busy with life that my store has been mostly neglected except adding a random product here and there. If you come up with any genius ideas, pass them on!

  3. Hi Kristin, (my daughter's name :-) ). Oh, I would love a genius plan! Another local teacher and I just started meeing every other Tuesday -- TPT Tuesday, we'll call it. We are going to encourage, help, share, and work on those evenings. It is hard when you're teaching everyday. I am also reaching out with some of these linking connections. It will take time, but as Deanna Jump said at the conference last summer, "Just keep swimming." And so, I do!
