In my classroom, we have a class pledge to remind us about important character traits. We recite it every day. We end it with: "I mean what I say, and say what I mean" (Dr. Seuss). If necessary, I can refer to any part of this during the day -- to the class, or an individual. I just say remember what our pledge says.....
"even when no one is watching" comes up a lot for the boys' restroom stops!
